Elevated Command Prompt or cmd with admin privileges

When Command Prompt opened as admin privileges called Elevated Command Prompt. The difference between both is that when cmd opened to”C:\Users\(User name)”  this is normal Command Prompt and when it is opened to  “C:\Windows\System32” it has got admin privileges. This one is called Elevated Command Prompt. There are different ways to open Elevated Command Prompt.



Method 1:

The easiest way in Windows 8 is press these keys:  Windows + X + A


Method 2:

Open the Start Menu, type cmd in the search box, and click on Run as Administrator (works when you are the admin)


Method 3:

Open Task Manager (Ctrl  Alt  Del), click on File then New Task (Run..). This task will be created with administrator privileges.


Method 4:


In Windows 8/8.1 right click on start menu a list appears.  Choose Command Prompt (Admin).


Method 5:

Open File Explorer (Window Key + E) open any Folder click on File menu, click on Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
